Bru-Force offers a service to repair tyres.
This tyre has encountered a sidewall impact that would have to go through the a Vulcanised Process to be repaired. |
| Â | |
This is the penetration from the inside of the tyre. The diagram shows how the inner liner has been impacted. |
| Â | |
The object has now been removed and the penetration is measured to start the 'preparing' process of the repair. |
| Â | |
The sidewall area is now cleaned to assess the extent of cord damage on the sidewall. The extent of the damage will determine the size of the Vulcanising patch that will be needed to re-inforce the damage caused to the inside of the tyre, this is always done within the specifications. |
| Â | |
The area is buffed and cleaned with a solvent to get rid of any contamination and dirt. |
| Â | |
The inner-liner is now marked with the size patch recommended for the size of the impact, this will be the reenforcement to the damaged area. |
| Â | |
As in diagrams 4 & 5 the area is cleaned and buffed to the correct size of the patch. |

The tyre is now prepared and the Repair Process begins. The patch is put in into the tyre. The rope rubber is used to fill the sidewall. The tyre is then put into the chamber, which consists of 2 Airbags and two Heat pads (as shown in diagram 10) |
| Â | |
The Heat pads are placed over the prepared area, one Heat bag being placed in the inside of the tyre and the other one on the outside of the tyre (still directly over the injury). The Air bags are then placed over the Heat pads. These are then tightened into place by means of a harness (as shown in diagram 10) |
| Â | |
Two bar of pressure is then released into the Air bags which in turn puts pressure on the Heat pads at a temperature of 120 degrees, over a time period of approximately 180 minutes. This is controlled by a Digital Temperature Controller (as shown in diagram 9) |

This diagram shows how the rubber has cured during the process and now needs to be buffed and cosmetically cleaned. |

This diagram shows the repair from the inside of the tyre. |

A pressure test is then done on the rim (as shown here) |

This is the tyre repaired, cleaned and painted, after the pressure test. |

The tyre is now complete and is ready for delivery. |
